My name is Johana Boutros Gray, I am the founder of Eat With Jo, a food and lifestyle platform built from my personal journey toward better health and balance. Seven years ago, I stepped on the scales and saw the number 99. In that moment, I made a promise to myself: I would never reach a three-digit number. It wasn’t just about how I looked—it was about how I felt, both physically and mentally.

From that day forward, I committed to changing my lifestyle. Over time, through consistency, learning about food, and creating meals I genuinely loved, I successfully lost 40 kilograms. Like many people on a health journey, my weight and body have fluctuated over the years, but my commitment to feeling strong, healthy, and confident has remained constant.

In the process, something that began as a way to hold myself accountable soon grew into something much bigger. By documenting my journey and sharing my favourite recipes on social media, I built a supportive community of people who were looking for realistic, enjoyable ways to eat well without feeling restricted.

Today, Eat With Jo is a space where I get to share the meals, tips, and inspiration that helped me transform my lifestyle. My approach focuses on balance, simplicity, and creating food that is both nourishing and satisfying.

At Eat With Jo, I focus on meal preparation, not meal plans. My recipes are designed to be homemade, nourishing, and satisfying — food that’s good for the soul as well as your body.

I believe in a balanced 80/20 lifestyle, but done thoughtfully. When it comes to nutrition, awareness matters. Tracking your intake can be helpful, but it should always be approached in a way that works for your individual body, lifestyle, and goals.

My personal journey with food and cooking has been ongoing for over seven years, during which I’ve naturally lost nearly 40kg through building sustainable habits in the kitchen. However, it’s important to understand that everyone’s nutritional needs are different. Factors such as age, height, activity levels, and lifestyle all play a role in determining what works best for each person.

For this reason, I don’t share my personal calorie or macro intake. What works for one person may not be appropriate for another, and I want to ensure that everyone using Eat With Jo approaches food in a way that supports their own health and wellbeing.

I’m also not a nutritionist or an online coach. At the heart of Eat With Jo is simply a love for cooking. This platform exists to share recipes and meal prep ideas that make it easier for busy people — particularly working women — to nourish themselves throughout demanding weeks.

While many people use meal preparation as part of a weight-loss journey, that’s not the sole focus here. The goal is to make cooking enjoyable, practical, and sustainable so you can feel supported in your everyday life.
